Graciela Iturbide is a mexican photographer. Creating her body of work in black and white, she translates the starkness of her subjects’ lives in high contrast. Traveling through Mexico, Ecuador, Venezuela, Panama, and the Mexican community of East Los Angeles, Iturbide continues to document the intersection of ancient cultural rituals and contemporary interpretations.
